Shaping the Proposals Together - Consultation That Makes a Difference
At Wyatt Homes, we believe the best developments are shaped through meaningful engagement with the communities they will become part of.
This exhibition is not about presenting a finished scheme. It is an opportunity to share emerging proposals, listen to local views and refine the plans before any planning application is submitted.
Local knowledge is invaluable. By understanding community priorities, concerns and ideas, we can improve the proposals and deliver a development that responds positively to Bransgore’s needs.
“The best developments are those that continue to improve through conversation with the community.”
What Happens Next?
Following tbe engagement and consultation, every comment will be carefully reviewed.
We will consider:
• What people support
• Concerns that have been raised
• Suggestions for improvements
• Additional community benefits
• Technical matters requiring further assessment
Where appropriate, the masterplan will be updated before a planning application is submitted.
An engagement report will accompany the application, explaining how the community was consulted, the feedback received and how it influenced the final proposals.

Engagement Has Already Begun
Before presenting these proposals, we began discussions with a wide range of stakeholders, including:
• Bransgore Parish Council, Burton & Winkton Parish Council and Sopley Parish Council
• BCP Council planning officers
• Hampshire County Council Highways
• Natural England
• Highway, landscape and drainage specialists
• Ecologists and environmental consultants
• Heritage and technical advisers
These early discussions have helped shape the emerging masterplan and identify both opportunities and challenges for the site.
Early engagement highlighted several important priorities:
• Managing traffic safely
• Improving walking and pedestrian links
• Protecting Bransgore’s rural character
• Flooding and drainage
• Local infrastructure
• Affordable housing
• Community facilities and allotments
• Biodiversity and green spaces
• Ensuring Bransgore residents benefit from future development
Rather than viewing these as obstacles, we see them as opportunities to create a better place.
What We’ve Heard
How Feedback Is Shaping the Masterplan
The proposals continue to evolve in response to local feedback. Current work includes:
Expanding green infrastructure and public open space
Exploring community facilities and meeting spaces
Investigating opportunities for allotments
Improving walking and recreational routes
Planning for the long-term management of green spaces
Delivering affordable homes for local people
A consistent message has emerged from early discussions:
If development takes place, Bransgore should share in the benefits.
That principle sits at the heart of the emerging proposals.
