HELP US SHAPE THE FUTURE OF BRANSGORE

Your Views Matter

Thank you for visiting our website

Thank you for taking the time to attend today’s public engagement and consultation event. We appreciate that proposals of this scale are important to local communities and that many people will have questions, comments and ideas about how the proposals should evolve.

Your feedback is an essential part of the design process. Today’s exhibition is not the end of the conversation. It is the beginning.

Before any planning application is submitted we want to hear from as many people as possible so that the proposals can continue to evolve and respond to the issues that matter most to Bransgore.

Whether you support the proposals, have concerns or simply wish to make suggestions, we genuinely want to hear from you.

Every comment will be reviewed carefully by the project team.

A Shared Vision

Throughout this exhibition we have explained our ambition to create far more than a new housing development. Our vision is to deliver a carefully planned, landscape-led neighbourhood that complements Bransgore and provides lasting benefits for both existing and future residents.

Our objectives are to create a place that:

• Provides much-needed homes for local people.

• Delivers up to 50% affordable housing.

• Protects and enhances the natural environment.

• Encourages walking and healthier lifestyles.

• Creates new habitats and increases biodiversity.

• Provides extensive public open space.

• Supports the long-term future of Bransgore.

• Works in partnership with the local community.

We believe these objectives are entirely compatible.

By listening carefully and working collaboratively, we hope to create proposals that the village can be proud of.

What Happens Next?

Today’s consultation forms one important stage of a much longer planning process. Following the exhibition we will:

1. Review Every Comment

Every questionnaire, email and conversation will be reviewed by the project team. We are interested not only in what people support but also in understanding concerns and suggestions for improvement.

2. Continue Technical Assessments

Our specialist consultants will continue work on:

• Highways and transport.

• Landscape, Ecology & Trees

• Flood risk & Drainage.

• Heritage.

• Urban design.

• Sustainability.

This work will continue alongside further discussions with BCP Council and statutory consultees.

3. Refine the Masterplan

Community feedback and technical evidence will be brought together to refine the proposals. Where appropriate, the masterplan will evolve in response to what we have heard. Examples might include changes to:

• Landscape.

• Walking routes.

• Public open space.

• Community facilities.

• Allotments.

• Layout.

• Design.

4. Prepare a Planning Application

Only once the proposals have been refined will a planning application be submitted to Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council. The Council will then undertake its own public consultation before making any decision.

Working Together

During our early engagement one message was repeated time and again:

If development is to happen, Bransgore should benefit.

That principle has become one of the guiding themes of this project.

We want to continue working with local stakeholders, local organisations and residents to explore how the proposals can deliver meaningful and lasting benefits for the village. By listening carefully, responding positively and continuing to engage openly, we believe Higher Clockhouse Farm can become a development that contributes positively to the future of Bransgore

“We understand that proposals for new homes are important to local communities. We are committed to listening carefully, working openly and creating a development that reflects the character of Bransgore while delivering homes, green spaces and community benefits for future generations. Thank you for taking the time to visit today’s exhibition and share your views with us.”.
